WASTE SERVICES, INC. is a multi-regional, integrated solid waste services company, providing collection, transfer, landfill disposal and recycling services for commercial, industrial and residential customers in the United States and Canada. We currently operate in one region in the United States, Florida. In Canada, we have operations throughout Ontario and in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

The Regional Safety Leader will report to the Regional Vice President Eastern Canada and Vice President Risk Management. The office of the Regional Safety Leader will be located in Ottawa, Ontario The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and technical assistance to operations management in implementing and maintaining the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Requirements:
• CRSP desired but not essential
• Five years OH&S management experience
• Certificate in OH&S
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the OHSA and Regulations
• Knowledge of the Ontario HTA
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to travel.
